Description

Les Belles Flagellantes de New-York, Lord Drialys (pseud.) (Charles Carrington, Paris, 1906)
7.5″ x 5″, 264pp, rare first edition in original soft wraps. Some pages loose but all present

Later translated to english as “The Beautiful Flagellants of New York”. This is the rare first edition in original paper wraps (fragile and very hard to find). This classic flagellation novel takes place in the New York underground. From the “Études de mœurs américaines” series (Study of American morals) although it is not clear if there were any other titles in this series. It was later published by Carrington in 1907 in both French and English versions. The back cover has a nice flagellation engraving.
