Marcel Jeanjean (1893-1973) was a notable french illustrator who made his first illustrations during WWI for a humorous newspaper, Le Canard poilu [The Hairy Duck]. He is most associated with his love of aviation, which is apparent in much of his work. These are humourous postcards drawn by him illustrating the 7 deadly sins, La Gourmandise, L’Orgueil, La Paresse, L’Envie, laColere, La Luscure, L’Avarice [Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Envy, Wrath, Lust, Greed]. A full set in good condition.
